How to play
Object: Interweave words to create a mini crossword grid, aiming for
the highest score from letter values.
- Fill the empty squares with your own 3, 4, 5, or 6 letter words.
- All words must cross at least one other word.
- Duplicate words are not allowed.
-
A doubled consonant (e.g. the ZZ in FUZZY, but not the
D's in AIDED) only scores as one letter unless both letters are
intersected.
A new word each day. Use the whole day to get your best score.
Bonus word: a second word is named below the keyboard each game. Weave
it into your grid and every one of its letters scores double.
Double tap a word to see its definition.

Free Play: Tap
to play as often as you want, any time. Total words/points resets each day - beat your
best day, shown in Stats. A game of 4 words or fewer doesn't count towards the total.
Validation messages
When the Words and Score cards show an asterisk instead of a number, the message
underneath them is the problem to fix first:
-
Invalid word: not a real dictionary word, the wrong length, or a
single unconnected letter.
- Duplicate word: already used elsewhere on the grid.
-
Fragmented game: valid and unique, but not connected back to the
starter word - blocks saving/sharing until it connects.
Info
- One square is permanently blocked and can't be filled.

- The Daily puzzle stays the same all day.
- Use Reset to keep trying for your best score.
- Your score updates live as you type.
- Progress saves automatically - come back any time.
Keyboard
- Letter keys show their point value (bottom-right).
-
⌫ Backspace - clears the selected cell, or on a second press (when
already empty) steps back one cell.
-
Across / Down - toggles which way typing jumps to the next empty
cell.
-
Reset - opens the Clear dialog: clear the whole game back to just
the starter word, or one of the selected square's words (across and down are offered
separately at a crossing). A word clear keeps any letter shared with a crossing
word, unless you tick Clear all letters in word. The letters that
will go are shown in red.
-
Save / Load - Daily only. One keepable position per
day: Save stores your current grid, Load brings it back. It resets at midnight, but
the day itself is kept in History.
-
Snapshots - Capture up to 10 scratch copies of the game you're on,
so you can try a completely different set of words and still Restore an earlier one.
Kept on this device only, and cleared when you move to a new game. Unlike Save and
Load above, these are working copies to throw away, not a result to keep - and they
work in Free Play too.
Fun fact: the game you're playing today won't repeat for another 2,555
years!
Fun fact: each game has so many possible completions that yours may be
unique!
